Well, I've signed up for my own people search engine. It seems like a workable idea.
People searches are a large proportion of all searches online, so Tissa Godavitarne, the clever guy behind this system, has harnessed the concept and turned it into an affiliate income machine.
You can sign up for free and get your search engine going immediately. Just add your ClickBank, Reunion and HD Publishing id's to your back office and your are in business. These links are used to sell paid searches, which some searchers will opt in for if the free search doesn't do it for them.
You can then take things to the next level by entering your Global Domains International (GDI) referral id, and your adsense codes. This allows you to host your own search engine, with it's own name, and to show adsense ads on the search results pages.
Step 3 is to sign up for 1 month of free advertising of your link. At that point you will get $125 put into your commissions account, and hopefully, by the end of the month, you will have $200 or more in there and be able to take it out.

Team Orangemoon - encouragement for the struggling internet marketer!
Internet marketing can be quite the challenge, and after you've tried and failed at too many things, it can make you cynical and weary. Luckily, programs do come along which truly work with ease for their members, and Team Orangemoon is one of them. I have found great encouragement here, and made money as well.

The joys of building a list
I am so happy to be building my lists. Finally, I've got a way to tie together everything which I am promoting, and to present it to people in a sensible way which can help them.
My first list is called "You have the Power - make money your way and be financially free". It shows people how to get their confidence back in online marketing, especially if all they've done is spend money and go broke trying. I've had one appreciative email already, which was a real boost.
My second list is called "Build your list with ease". I show people how to set up their first list in 4 easy steps, using free resources. After all, you can always switch to expensive paid resources when you can afford it, but in the meantime you are making some money and, perhaps even more importantly, learning by doing.
Now, back to promoting!

Internet Marketing Success Formula
Since I'm building my first list, it was great to find Soren Jordansen's Internet Marketing Success Formula. It's a step-by-step guide to making money online, and covers many topics of interest, beginning with a brief (but very meaningful) analysis of who the typical internet marketer is, based on surveys he conducted. Since this is my main market, I need to know this stuff! Soren goes on to explain how to build a list, drive traffic to your squeeze pages, and much more at a level of detail which is very helpful and clear.You can download the book for free, but if you take the one-time-offer you will get rebranding rights, which could be very useful as he has a lot of links in the book. Of course, you can apply the information without signing up for all his programs. The book is valuable either way.

I'm building my list!
After all these months of promoting affiliate links, I've finally taken the advice of the experts and am branding myself and building my list.
I was going to become a mentor but decided that's a bit ambitious for my first launch, so I've started with a series of free emails to empower people who are broke and have just about given up on network marketing.
A lot has gone into the preparation, including the building of a Wordpress blog called You have the power - make money your way and be financially free. The hardest thing was to come up with my unique offering. It had to be something which I understood well and could offer honestly, and I wanted everything which I offer to be available for free.
I launched yesterday, and have my first signup already. I feel really jazzed!

I'm finally on the right track...
It's been a while since I've posted. I've been having a rethink, and finding my balance in all this frenzy of internet hope and hype.
My first exposure to internet marketing was on Yuwie (the social network). Someone told me about GDI, and I felt interested and signed up. Then I tried out a few other things, as this blog will attest... and worked very hard at promoting all of them.
At some point I realized that I've just been promoting stuff, and trying new stuff, and not really making any money. My first real profits came with 3 Hour Profits, but I don't really have the temperament to repeatedly post classified ads, so I kind of faltered with that... (I think it's a good program if you've got self discipline or don't mind repetitive work).
I decided to take another look at paid-to-click (ptc) programs. Originally I was introduced to them at the low end of the range where they pay a measly 1/10 of a cent per click, and that really put me off. Since then I have found many which pay 1 cent per click, and if I do 10 or so at a time, it's ok. I won't get rich from ptc, but they will give me money to put into my other online ventures, such as passive programs. I'm expecting to show a profit this month, yay! Then I found E-tradeXchange, an advertising program which provides revenue sharing. A $5 ad pack gives me many link, banner and text exposures and pays me back $8.75. I think they do it by selling advertising to non-members, and then sharing the profits, though they keep some for the company so that it can continue to grow. My ads are being shown in all sorts of places which I just couldn't get to myself (as I can see from tracking them for free with ViralUrl). I will write up my results when my first ad pack matures.
It is such a relief to finally be making money. A lot of my stress is gone. I'll build up my ptc downlines and income, and use the money to promote other programs or products when I can do so with ease.

Rotate your own banners on your blog or site or social network profile
Banners on your blog or website need to refresh and change so that visitors don't keep seeing the same one all the time. If you are displaying your banners on a social network such as Yuwie, you really don't want to get too blatant and have too many of them, or you'll get your profile shut down for abuse of TOS. The answer is to rotate your banners.
What's the best way to rotate banners on your blog, website, profile or traffic exchange? Use a banner rotator, of course!
My preferred rotator is Banner Keyring. Free members get 3 "keyrings" or rotators, with 5 banners each, plus basic statistics (number of clicks, number of times each banner was displayed). Premium members get unlimited keyrings and banners and really excellent statistics, as well as other goodies.
Set up all your banners here, then display them using your Banner Keyring codes which look just like the codes you would use for an individual banner. Most traffic exchanges have no problem with Banner Keyring banners.
If you change your mind about which banners you want to use in your promotions, simply change them in one place, at Banner Keyring, and that will be reflected everywhere that you display your banners.
